Jacqulyn Boone was born in Fort Deposit Alabama on May 16, 1974. Her mother was named Rosie Davison, and she has a large family of four sisters and two half-sisters and a brother. She is married to Michael Boone, where they have three amazing children; JaMicheal Boone, Destiny Wilson, and Lawanda Chambers. She graduated from Calhoun High School in Lowndes County, Alabama in 1992 and Alabama State University in 2005 with a Bachelors in Collaborative Education. She remained at Alabama State University and received her Master's in Collaborative Education as well.
During leisure time, Jacqulyn loves singing, shopping, and couponing. Serving God is such a great part of her life! She is a member of Greater New Faith Baptist Church, Fort Deposit, Alabama, where serving as the clerk, assistant youth department advisor, and being a part of the praise and worship team are her favorite things to do. Her favorite scripture is Philippians is 2:4. She has succeeded in many great things in life! She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.
After graduating and receiving her education, Jacqulyn Boone became dedicated to inspiring children across Lowndes County. For the past 15 years, Mrs. Boone has been a great educator with the Lowndes County Board of Education, and she continues to teach and love the children of Lowndes County Middle School and inspire them to reach their dreams. She is devoted to Lowndes Middle School, where she serves in several departments. The departments include the Parental Involvement Coordinator, Budget Committee, 21st Century Learning Program Site Coordinator, Lowndes Middle School Girls Basketball Coach, and Transition Team.
Jacqulyn has also devoted her life to politics, justice, and serving others. She is the youngest female elected to serve on the city council for four terms. During her time, she served as the Liaison for the Fort Deposit Police Department, Park and Recreation Board, Library Board, Airport Board, and the Mayor Pro -Tem. Currently, she serves on the Southeast Alabama Gas District, Lowndes County Economic Development Commission, and South Central Alabama Development Commission.
With making history in Fort Deposit, Alabama, Jacqulyn Boone was the first female mayor elected as of August 25, 2020, to serve in her community and bring about change. Her motto for life states that "Change today for a better tomorrow." While believing these words, she is never afraid of doing the impossible!
