2/7 Youth Council Meeting @ 430 pm to 7pm Topic: Plans and Ideas to Move Forward.

2/14 Wear Red for Heart Disease Month, and share photo.

2/15 Practice for Black History Program 6pm to 7pm.

2/17 Practice for Black History Program 6pm to 7pm.

2/21 President's Day "Keep Pride in Our City Clean Up Park" @130pm-330pm.

3/4 Weekly Check in and reminders by text or phone call.

3/5 Volunteer at Library to help citizens order Covid Test 9am to 12pm.

3/7 Youth Council Meeting @6 at City Hall Topic Healthy Nutrition and Dietitian Month, youth will receive a calendar to log what they eat daily for a month, at the end of the month we will compare logs and determine who ate the healthiest, 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive prize.

3/12 Volunteer at Library to help citizens order Covid Test 9am to 12pm. (YC Director can’t supervise, has scholarship luncheon).  

3/14 Weekly Check in.

3/17 Healthy Eating "Eat Green for St. Patrick's Day" Take photo or do video and share to YC Director.

3/21 Weekly check in.

3/31 Youth Council meeting @6 at City Hall Conclude Healthy eating logs, compare logs to determine healthy eating habits. Have licensed nutritionist to speak.

5/2 Youth Council Meeting 530pm to 630pm Topic: Mental Health Awareness, make planted and paint small flower pots for Youths Mother’s. Research and do a report or video on “Mental Health in the Black Community” And prepare health packets for Community Mothers for Mother’s Day.

5/7 Community Mothers drive by to receive a flower and Women health information packets. 9am to 11am.

5/10 Weekly check in and reminders.

7/20 Youth Council, day meeting Topic: Internet Safety “How to Protect Yourself” Have a juvenile probation officer or Oxford police officer speak with youth on internet safety.

2/4 World Cancer Day. Youth council will create and distribute flyers  designed to “Stand up for a Future without Cancer”.

2/7 Youth Council Zoom Meeting (High School ) March is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Share CDC Resources and educate youth to help people learn how to build healthy relationships. Use the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) evidence-based teen dating violence prevention model.

2/14 Healthy Hearts on Valentine’s Day Activity. 

2/15 Youth Council Zoom Meeting to plan Black History Month Activities

2/17 Random Act of Kindness Day Youth Council will perform random acts of kindness throughout the day
